- Unfortunately all classes had to be cancelled for TERM 1 in 2022- Due to Covid restrictions and our concern for tutors & students.
We plan to return for 2023 at the start of Term 1, and plan for Terms 2, 3 & 4 to proceed as normal - We welcome you to call in to the Aspley Uniting Church Hall 748 Robinson Rd, Aspley on Wednesday morning 25 January
- to discus your interests with Tutors from 9.00 am to 11.00 am
- Our Term starts the week beginning Monday 30 January
An Annual Celebration luncheon was held at Hornets Football Club.
On Friday 13th September, 110 people Celebrated 2019 Classes for Seniors This event was held to celebrate the knowledge gained and friendships formed during the year at our Classes for Seniors. Students, Tutors and Volunteer Coordinators and Assistants attended, also invited Guests. This year the luncheon was held at Aspley Hornets Club and was a Buffet meal.. .Presentations during the Luncheon were given by the Line Dancing Class, the French Language Class and the Russian Language Class who were dressed in Russian costumes and adorned with Russian Scarves. Both French and Russian groups gave us the English translation so we were able to understand their presentations. Invited Guests: were our Clergy, Rev Sandra Jebb - Uniting Church , Father Nicholas Whereat – Anglican Church and a Sister representing the Catholic Church, Bart Mellish MP, and Jessie who was attending for Luke Howarth MP. Apologies were received from Anika Wells MP, Cr Fiona Hammond and Cr Amanda Cooper. Lucky Door Prizes were donated by the Council Members and Government members and the Watercolour Tutor Phil Cawthan. These were greatly appreciated by the winners. Harley does much work in preparing the programs each term and supports the other members of the Committee. ![]() Glenda, Brian and Rosemary are some of the valuable helpers who assist with setting up the classes each week .
